Compiler Version for ICON related codes older tags

This page describes compilers versions running with icon tags of the C2M-ICON organisation. For the compiler versions running with the last icon tag in the C2SM-ICON organisation, please refer to AvailableCompilerVersionForICONRelatedCodes

In the arrays below, "X" means does not run, while "-" means that this compiler was not tested yet.

ICON 2.5.0.2 (2020-01-22)

This status is valid for the tag icon-2.5.0.2 from icon repository in C2SM-ICON organisation: git@github.com:C2SM-ICON/icon.git.

AMIP (Global, echam physics)

The AMIP case (global, echam physic, 200km) runs with the following compilers on CPUs only:

Here are figures of a scaling analysis (Wallclock, Node hours, Efficiency) in the AMIP configuration, at resolution R2B4 which was done between Dec 2019 and Jan 2020 on Piz Daint using with the official C2SM-ICON tag icon-2.5.0.2 . In the figures, the labels "_6h", resp. "_1m", is the output frequency (respectively 6 hours and 1 months).

ICON-LAM case (Bernhard's case, NWP physics)

ICON-LAM simulation of tropical cyclones on 13.5 km. The domain is located over Atlantic with specific boundaries to limit the impact of orography (in particular orographic Rossby waves).
